2016 Ladies League

Format & Rules

-Format will be two person best ball (teams of 2)

-Maximum handicap of 20 (USGA recommends 40 for ladies and then cut that in half because it’s only 9 holes)

-Teams will be awarded 1 point for each hole won, and half a point for a tie. The score at the end of the day should equal 9 total points. Each week you will accumulate points, we will keep a running total and the team with the most points at the end of the season will be the winner. Payouts will be paid in Pro Shop credit.

-The scorecards will stroke off the low handicap in the group. Example if the low handicap is a 10 and you are a 15 you will get 5 shots on your scorecard.

-If a team no shows the team that is here will be awarded 6 points for that week.

-League entry fee for the season is $60 per person which will include prizes and a closing night dinner. $20 of entry will go towards dinner, $11 will go towards two closest to the pin contest each week, and $29 will go towards end of season payout. Example if we have 30 ladies the purse will be $870 which will then be separated by the order in which you end the season 1st 2nd 3rd etc.

-Tie for 1st place will be broken by the results of the head to head match, secondly by which team has the most points on the last night. The third tie breaker will be the first night’s results. Ties for all other spots will split the money.

-June 6th we will have an opening night scramble starting at 4 PM. With a meeting to follow golf, also we will be hosting a wine tasting that evening.

-League play will start on June 13th and continue for 11 weeks (taking July 4th off) August 29th will be our last night of play, followed by the end of season banquet and awards presentation.

-In the event of rain please call the Pro Shop don’t assume league is cancelled, the club will make the decision if league is cancelled. We will try to make that call by 3:00PM.

-Dinners will be served each week following golf. The dinners will be buffet style and will change weekly. The cost of the dinner will be $9.99 per person
